The second edition of the trilogy; Wonders of the Sea

Eternity , the 2006 Annual Edition, is the second piece in the Wonders of the Sea trilogy. Alongside Harmony (2005) and Community (2007) a sparkling ocean panorama is brought to life, either in clear crystal or with colourful highlights depending upon your own personal taste and preference.

In both versions the sea turtle comes in full faceted clear crystal. The positioning of the sea turtle ensures exceptional brilliance. In the clear version the corals are made of unfaceted clear crystal as in the coloured version the corals come in Indicolite crystal.
The two little fish in the top right corner are made of full faceted clear crystal and form a shoal of fish with the three little fish belonging to the Annual Edition 2005, Harmony .
The puffy coral on the base is made of a slightly matted, unfaceted clear crystal.

The display set is sand-coloured and serves as a stand for the approximately 20 centimetre-high crystal object as well as for the display backdrop. This consists of a mirror and a picture motif revealing a view of an underwater landscape. Both are included in the set and can be used to create attractive underwater-look displays.

A separate base with integrated lighting is also available and can be linked to the illuminated display set of Harmony . Only one power supply is needed though.

Members, who were not able to purchase the first piece of the trilogy, Harmony , in 2005 will be pleased to know that the piece will still be available until 2007.

Wonders of the Sea 2005-2007 is the seventh trilogy to be launched by the Swarovski Crystal Society since its foundation in 1987.

The trilogy pays homage to the diversity of ocean life and represents an exciting new design concept. Though each individual object, whether in clear or coloured crystal, can stand alone, when grouped together the three pieces tell an amazing story of the fascinating world under the sea. When placed in a row the three pieces form a harmonious whole – a stunning design object for the home. In the course of three years a unique crystal aquarium comes into being.

Harmony, the first piece of the trilogy, consists of a vertical glass base with a circular opening in the centre. This plate forms the base for the two large anemone fish and a little shoal of three smaller fish at the top left-hand side. The fish are all faithful reproductions of their natural counterparts and feature a multitude of tiny facets. The sea anemone – the natural habitat of the anemone fish – is made of matt crystal. In the coloured version the two fish are portrayed in their natural colours with orange, clear crystal and black stripes.
